Post-Round
-
Starting in 2026, we are very excited to announce that we will be syncing the post-round celebration with the start of Masters Saturday national coverage!
-
In the spirit of other JBG events (weather permitting), there is a cool patio area near the 18th green, so we encourage the groups coming in to grab a beverage and hang at the patio area to watch the later groups come in. After that, we’ll head to the Twisted Tavern onsite for the presentation of The Low Amateur Cup, watch the Masters and chop it up over food/beverage! More info to come on the food front.
-
-
Attire
-
We STRONGLY encourage you to rock your Masters attire at the event. Yellow and green are always in fashion this time of year, along with azaleas or anything your buddy was kind enough to bring back for you after a $3,000 binge at the ANGC pro shop.
-
-
We will be creating a Live Leaderboard on The Grint to track all The Jabronis action the day of the tournament
-
Please be sure you have the Grint app downloaded to your phone prior to arriving at The Jabronis if you have not done so already. You need to score your Chump Cup round using The Grint app on your phone during the round.
-
Instructions will be given just prior to the start of the round on how to join the live leaderboard
-
It is VERY important that you remember to enter your score after each and every hole.
-
Scoring will be kept in real time during the 2026 Jabronis by clicking on the "Leaders" icon in the lower right corner of the Grint app.

Origins of The Jabronis
The History
Back in early spring of 2024, in the midst of my annual ritual of consuming all Masters media content available to me, I came upon this article:
The bogey golfer's guide to surviving Augusta National
As I read about the relatable trials of these two “Jabronis from New Jersey” trying to hack their way around ANGC, I thought to myself, “Hey, we’re also Jabronis from New Jersey”! In that moment, an idea was born. Why can’t we ring in the start of JBG with a round that coincides with Masters week? An homage to the best tournament…the one that gives us hope, confirms that the shit of winter is behind us, and says, “yes, golf season is here, and I can FINALLY log in a round that actually counts toward my index.” While I can’t promise a level of play that will elicit Nantz-worthy superlatives fit for CBS primetime coverage (the vibe here is a celebratory and casual (and maybe at-times comedic) warm-up for the start of the JBG season), it will be a tradition unlike…well…some other stuff. Gentlemen, this is The Jabronis.
The Low Amateur Cup
While we all know the winner of The Masters gets a green jacket and a trophy that’s a little silver replica of the Augusta National clubhouse, The Masters has a proud and longstanding tradition of creating paths for elite amateurs to compete in the tournament (after all, the idea of the tournament itself was the vision of the best amateur the world has ever known). Traditionally, the amateur finishing with the lowest 72 hole score at The Masters—the “low amateur”—is awarded a silver cup.
In the spirit of amateur competition at The Masters, participants in The Jabronis will battle for The Jabronis Low Amateur Cup (I mean none of us are planning to do this for a living, right?!), which joins the vaunted Chump Cup and The Beast in the JBG trophy case.
