• Neshanic Valley Golf Course - Neshanic Station, NJ

• Tee times start at 11:30am through approximately 12:30pm

• Please be at Neshanic Valley's putting green NO LATER THAN 11:00 AM SHARP to allow for final organization/explanation of the 2025 Chump Cup.

• The Chump Cup will be played on the Meadow to Lake courses from the BLUE tee boxes

  • Blue Tees:  69.50 Rating / 125 Slope / 6174 Yards

• Greens Fees and post round apps will be covered by your JBG Tour entry fee.

• $30 is the all-in cost for Chump Cup side bets (Closest to the Pin & Long Drive)

• All alcohol and the post Chump Cup dinner is a separate cost for each individual.

• After you finish your round please help continue the Chump Cup tradition:  grab a drink at the bar and head back to the 18th green to watch the rest of the Chump Cup field finish their rounds.

• Following the playing of the Chump Cup we will have:

  • Immediately post round:  We will travel 5 minutes down the road to the Riverside INN for drinks & apps during the 2025 JBG season trophy and awards ceremony ​

  • Following the post round ceremony:  All JBG Tour members are encouraged to stay at Riverside INN for dinner & live music in the private room we have reserved for the evening.​

The 2025 Chump Cup 

The 2025 Chump Cup and the culmination of the 2025 JBG Tour season will be played for the first time ever at the HIGHLY ranked, Neshanic Valley Golf Course in Neshanic Station, NJ. For those of you who have participated in prior Chump Cups... you already know what to expect!  For those playing in their first Chump Cup, we hope you enjoy the challenge of enduring the pressure of competing for the coveted Chump Cup trophy and all the glory that comes with it!  Please read below to familiarize yourself with all that will be going on at the 2025 Chump Cup.

Post-Chump Cup Celebration

• After the completion of your Chump Cup round, please quickly grab a drink at the clubhouse bar and head back over to the 18th green to watch your fellow competitors finish their rounds.  This is an integral part of the Chump Cup tradition and makes for a great atmosphere for the players coming in behind you

• After all Chump Cup competitors complete their rounds we will conclude the 2025 JBG season with the traditional post Chump Cup party including:

  • Drinks & apps followed by dinner

  • The 2025 JBG Tour swag

  • Awarding of the JBG Tour & Chump Cup trophies

  • Awarding of the JBG Tour & Chump Cup purses

  • Awarding of the Chump Cup side bets

  • Most importantly lots of talk, laughs and good times!

JBG Implications

• The Chump Cup plays a significant role in the overall JBG Tour including:

  • The “Mulligan Rule”-  your Chump Cup finishing Rank score can replace your highest (worst) monthly Rank score from earlier in the same JBG season.​

  • For those who have participated in the Chump Cup in the past, the traditions continue:

    • The Chump Cup winner is etched forever in the annals of golf history!  The winner's name and winning score will be etched forever on the iconic Chump Cup.​

    • The Chump Cup winner will be awarded the 2025 Chump Cup 1st Place Purse.

    • The Chump Cup winner will be awarded the 2025 Solo Cup Trophy to add to their personal trophy case at home (not to be confused with the original Chump Cup).

    • And perhaps most importantly… an entire year's worth of bragging rights!!!

Side Betting

Side betting, in addition to the above JBG implications, are as follows:

• $30 per person total​

• Closest to the Pin

  • $5 per man per hole​, $20 per man total

  • Par 3's

    • Front 9 Holes:  # 3 & # 6

    • Back 9 Holes:  # 12 & # 17

  • Closest to the pin and no worse than par to win a hole.

  • If there are no qualifying shots on a given par 3 the money pushes to the next par 3

  • If there is no winner for the final par 3, any remaining money in the Closest to the Pin pool is donated to the post Chump Cup dinner.

• Long Drive

  • $5 per man​

  • Winner takes all

  • Long Drive Hole:  # 9

  • An eligible Long Drive tee shot must come to rest in the fairway (a questionable lie, needs to be confirmed by another player in your group).  Shots finishing in the first cut or rough are not eligible for Long Drive.  Only your first shot from the tee box is eligible (i.e. provisional shots, 2nd shot after OB/hazard, etc. are not eligible)

  • If there is no winner of the Long Drive competition, the money in the Long Drive pool is donated to the post Chump Cup dinner.

• “Hundred:Zero Raffle”- 1 entry ($5) into the post round winner-take-all Chump Cup raffle drawing.​

Day of the Chump Cup: Join the "Live Leaderboard" on The Grint App

• Please be sure you have the Grint app downloaded to your phone prior to arriving at the Chump Cup if you have not done so already.  You need to score your Chump Cup round using The Grint app on your phone during the round.

• Just prior to the start of the Chump Cup, a link will be sent to you via WhatsApp.  The link will take you directly to the “2025 CHUMP CUP” leaderboard page on The Grint app.​​

• After clicking on the link in WhatsApp, the Grint app will open and you will then click on “Join Leaderboard”

• On the next screen called "ROUND SETUP" click on “Next” in the upper right hand corner.

• On the next screen called "PLAYERS SETUP" click on “Next” in the upper right hand corner.  

• You will then be taken to Hole # 1 and you will keep score as normal from there.

• It is VERY important that you remember to enter your score after each and every hole.

• You’ll now be able to follow the "Live Leaderboard" for all participants in real time during the 2025 Chump Cup by clicking on the "Leaders" icon in the lower right corner of the Grint app.
