If you do not already have an established handicap index you will need to do the following to establish your handicap to the best of your ability before you can play on the JBG Tour:
-
Make sure you are logged on to The Grint BEFORE clicking on any of the links below.
-
If you have in your possession COMPLETE hole-by-hole scores on scorecards from recent rounds of golf you have played: CLICK HERE TO ADD A ROUND'S HOLE-BY-HOLE SCORES *PREFERRED*
* NOTE- This is the preferred and more accurate way to submit scores. Please use this method if you have recent rounds scorecards instead of the option 2 below.
3. If you have record of past rounds SCORE TOTALS ONLY but do not know your hole-by-hole scores : CLICK HERE TO ADD A ROUND'S TOTAL SCORE ONLY
Using either method 1 or 2 above, you should try to add a minimum of 10 recent rounds and ideally your last 20 rounds which will give you a completely legitimate handicap index.
-
Only your most recent 20 scores are used for handicap calculation.
-
It is very important that the data you input is accurate including not just your score but also:
-
The correct tee box you played from for each round entered
-
The correct date (or approximate date if you are not sure of exact date) that the round was played
-
If you have a scorecard please double check that The Grint website/app has the correct data for the tee box you played for course slope, course rating and course par total in their database. IT IS VERY RARE but… if the Grint does not have the correct information for any of the above please let me know and I will get it corrected for you. Do not enter your score until the scorecard on The Grint is corrected.
-
Yes, all this initial set up BS is annoying but once you get everything set up once you are good to go and never have to worry about it again. Now you will be able to use your phone on the golf course to score your rounds and have everything instantly and accurately updated with The USGA, The World Handicap System, The Grint, and most importantly of course, The JBG Tour!
Let me know if you have any questions.
